Short answer
First check which login is affected: your content access, an app purchase or Apple TV activation. For Xtream, you need a server address, username and password; for M3U, you need the full playlist link. Change one thing at a time and keep an eye on the error message.
Type of access
Distinguish an app purchase, provider access, activation code and PIN.
Details
Check the server, username and password, or the complete M3U link.
Source and network
Check the provider status, connection limit and internet connection.
Narrow down the error
Check login, playback and the programme guide separately.
Check one change at a time. Do not share login details publicly.
Which access is not working?
Logging in to your source is different from using your Apple or Amazon account. An app unlock and choosing a protected profile are separate steps too. First identify what the message relates to so you check the right thing.
On smaller screens, you can scroll the table sideways.
| What you see | What to check first | Where to get help |
|---|---|---|
| Error connecting with server, username and password | Xtream access and provider status | The steps below |
| Playlist does not load from a link | Full M3U link and whether it is reachable | M3U check below |
| Purchase prompt after the trial period | Playback unlock on the relevant platform | Free vs. Premium |
| Apple TV activation code | The provided activation process on your phone | Apple TV guide |
| PIN prompt for a profile | Your profile or household PIN | Profiles and child profiles (in German) |
A new provider login will not fix a forgotten profile PIN. Another app purchase will not extend content access that has expired.
Xtream: compare the server address, username and password
Open the original login details from your content provider. Compare each entry with that source instead of guessing from an old note or screenshot. Three values matter for Xtream:
- Server address: use the given http or https, hostname and any explicitly stated port. The provider's website is not necessarily the server address for the player.
- Username: watch for uppercase and lowercase letters and characters that look alike, such as O and 0.
- Password: copy it from the original source if possible and check for unwanted spaces.
Do not enter a full M3U link as an Xtream server. Do not invent endings such as an extra API path. If you only received a playlist link, use the M3U option or ask your provider for separate Xtream details. The Xtream guide explains how it is structured.
M3U: use the complete playlist link
An M3U link may include a path and personal parameters as well as the server address. Use it in full. If parts are missing after copying, the app may no longer be able to reach your playlist. Also check whether a message split the link across lines or attached punctuation to it.
Enter the link in the M3U field. A file on your phone, a provider homepage and a full playlist address are different things. The M3U guide shows what kind of playlist link TELOS expects.
A full link can act like a password because it contains your access details. Do not open it on unfamiliar test services or post it publicly. Even a screenshot with the password hidden can expose your access if the full address is visible.
Is your content access still active and reachable?
If the details are correct, check your access in your content provider's protected customer area. Is it still active? Is there an outage notice? Has the server address changed? If you cannot check this yourself, ask your provider about the status of your access and the current player address.
A message that explicitly says login failed calls for different checks from a connection attempt that keeps waiting. By itself, though, it does not prove that your password is wrong. Note the exact wording, the time and whether the source worked on the same device before.
Avoid repeat purchases or creating a new playlist before you have checked your existing access. TELOS cannot reactivate content access that has expired or been blocked by the provider by reinstalling the app.
Is the same access already playing on another device?
Check whether the same access is currently playing on a TV, phone or tablet. Stop playback on the other device and try again on the device you want to use. This can help you tell whether your provider's connection limit is involved.
Up to five profiles in TELOS does not mean five simultaneous streams are allowed. A profile separates personal selections but does not expand your content agreement. Having two saved playlists also says nothing about additional connections for the same provider account.
If the connection works after stopping playback elsewhere, ask your provider how many simultaneous streams your access allows. Do not change your profile PIN or rush to change your password for this check.
Test the internet connection and device separately from the source
First check whether your device has a connection at all. For general Wi-Fi issues on Fire TV, see the Wi-Fi connection check (in German). Restart the app or device if the connection is stuck, then test the same source again.
Comparing with a second permitted network may help narrow down a local connection problem. Use your own access and bear in mind data use and your provider's terms. Do not change the network, password and server address at the same time; otherwise you will not know which step made a difference.
Do not broadly disable security features or install an unofficial APK as a supposed login fix. The Amazon Appstore is the official way to install TELOS on Fire TV.
You are logged in, but a channel or programme guide is missing
If the catalogue loads and some items play, the source connection has been established. Check the specific playback problem next: does it affect one channel, only movies or the entire selection? One stream being unavailable is not enough reason to replace all your login details.
For a picture that keeps buffering, see the buffering check. For missing programme data, use the EPG guide. In the Apple app described here, M3U sources have no programme guide, catch-up or downloads. That is a feature limitation there, not proof of a broken login.
A purchase prompt after the Apple trial period also concerns the playback unlock. It does not automatically mean that the provider is rejecting your details.
What to give support without sharing your login details
If the error persists, have these details ready:
- Device and operating system, for example Fire TV with Fire OS or iPhone with iOS.
- Installed TELOS version and access type: Xtream or M3U.
- Exact wording of the message and the time you tried.
- Whether login worked before and what has changed since.
- Whether the error occurs while loading the source or only when playing an item.
Use official TELOS support to get in touch. On screenshots, hide usernames, passwords, full playlist addresses and activation codes. Your content provider handles access status. For app controls or an app error message, the cleaned-up details above can help.
Delete app data only once you know what will be lost locally and how you will set up your access again. Resetting is not a necessary first step for every failed login.
Frequently asked questions
Why will TELOS not accept my Xtream details?
Possible causes include incorrect or incomplete details, expired access, an unreachable source or a connection limit. Compare the server address, username and password with your content provider's current details.
Can I use my M3U link in the Xtream server field?
Do not simply enter the full playlist link there. Use the M3U option for that link or ask your provider for separate Xtream details.
Are my Apple Account and IPTV access the same thing?
No. Your Apple Account is for app downloads and Apple purchases. Your content access contains the details for the source TELOS should play.
Why does my access work on only one device at a time?
Check your content provider's connection limit. Try stopping playback on another device. The number of profiles in TELOS does not increase that limit.
Do I need to reinstall TELOS when login fails?
Not as a first step. Check your details, provider status, internet connection and streams already in use first. Reinstalling will not fix expired content access and may affect local settings.
Can I post my M3U link in a forum for someone to check?
No. A full playlist link may contain personal login details. Publicly share only cleaned-up error messages and technical details such as your device, app version and access type.
